Abbie has been working with families, women and children for over twenty years. Her career has blended providing direct counseling services, along with oversight and leadership of mental health service providers. She has particular experience in counselor development and supervision and foster care and adoption services.

Abbie most often works with those who are experiencing depression, anxiety and chronic pain. She focuses on concrete tools, coping skills, and thinking, feeling and action patterns to support resolving symptoms.

Abbie has been providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) to build increased emotional regulation and help individuals move beyond reacting to their current circumstances out of anxiety and hopelessness that can be traced back to a life time of hurts and painful situations.
